If you have a mid-tower case then go with 16GB of RAM as well. Just make sure to double-check that your motherboard supports it before purchasing! I am using an ASUS Z170M-PLUS MATX motherboard which supports DDR4 up to 2666mhz and quad-channel mode with ease.
